Birchwood Price Tools (BPT) is an innovative company that creates and brings to market premium brands aimed at improving the working day of Tradespeople predominantly in the Construction Sector. The Company is looking for a Demand planning assistant to support the ambitious growth plans of the Van Vault, Defender and Rhino brands.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and flexibility are three key characteristics required in this role.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Demand Planning Assistant to join our Supply Chain team.
A key responsibility of the role is to maintain the availability of stock to ensure the needs of internal and external customers are met at all times. This will require you to build and maintain strong relationships with our customers and suppliers, working with them on the planning and forecasting of required stock levels.
To further confirm the stock needs of the business, you will work in close proximity with the Demand Planning Manager to understand existing product ranges, and with the Range Buyers to understand new product ranges. With a full picture of what is required, you will work to ensure the full availability of stock lines by liaising with external suppliers.
What we’re looking for:
- We’re looking for someone who is highly numerate and analytical with the drive to push best practice forward and to initiate process improvements across the department.
- Highly competent in Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
- With proven experience in a Supply Chain or customer facing environment, you will have the confidence to build strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
- You will possess strong communication skills and have the ability to efficiently organise and prioritise your workload. The role can be challenging, demanding and fast paced, therefore you must have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
