Birchwood Price Tools (BPT) is an innovative company that creates and brings to market premium brands aimed at improving the working day of tradespeople throughout the Construction Industry.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our business in one of our most prestigious and highly grossing areas in the South West of the UK. We like big personalities here at BPT!

We are looking for an individual who can unleash the potential of our market leading trade brands (Scruffs, Van Vault, Defender & Rhino) and add value to our dealer network through a strategic partnership approach.

  1. To own their sales area and meet monthly targets.
  2. Sales to be driven from both new and existing customers within the Southwest England/Wales and annual trips to Guernsey / The Channels Islands
  3. To efficiently manage their geographic region using a postcode plan and daily anchor appointments to surpass dealer expectations
  4. To create bespoke customer proposals based on new product or new ranges and tailor these to individual dealers
  5. To work in close liaison with an Internal Sales Manager to ensure you are maximising sales opportunities and customer coverage across the defined territory as a partnership
  6. Maintain an active pipeline of new business prospects
  7. Be a brand champion for all BPT brands and products with customer or at trade events
  8. Support National Account branches throughout the territory as required
  9. Maintain a record of customer visit and interface using CRM software To actively invest in their self-development and enhanced skill set


  1. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
  2. Territory Sales experience 3+ years
  3. Proven success in sales roles
  4. Strategic Account Management
  5. “Consultative seller”
  6. Excellent communicator / Articulate
  7. Exceptionally organised
  8. Negotiation skills
  9. Commercially aware
  10. Ability to network and build trusted relationships
  11. IT literate
  12. General light side product knowledge
  13. Industry & Sector market knowledge
